Inspired by the band members’ own experience in struggling with imposter syndrome, Cenușiu serves as a guide for the young mind through its own unique path, despite the many hurdles that are bound to appear along the way. The title itself is the Romanian term for “gray/drab”, which mirrors art without the few who bring light and color through their creativity and passion, but at the same time is an ode to gray matter – the region in the brain which is involved, among others, in decision making, emotions and self-control. Combining heavy riffs with suave tones aimed at balancing perception, this track serves as a reminder that we should not give into our own doubts. We are unique and we are powerful through our ability to create.
